Neverhome was commissioned by BAC for the One on One Festival in March 2011. The commission was to create a bedroom based on one from literature and a 10-minute performance for one audience member at a time to take place in the room. The bedroom was left intact as I designed it for artists to stay overnight in the building. I created The Lost Boys' den from J. M. Barrie's Neverland, after all the boys had grown up and left. The piece involved collecting stories about true homes from audiences and inviting them into my family. Together we believed in a true home and brought it to life.
