A commission at WWT Caerlaverock to redesign the interior of the Glengoyne Hide. I worked with visitors, staff and a local community group to create interventions that encourage visitors to slow down and take their time in the hide.
My focus for the work was reciprocity: if we give nature the gift of our attention, what do we receive in return?
Through a collaborative process, I created elements that practically help visitors feel comfortable spending more time watching nature from the hide, as well as features that explore the embodied experience of nature watching and what it can bring us in return for our attention.
Commission sponsored by Glengoyne whiskey and supported by The Stove Network.
