These are The Last Word Machines. They are here because they need your words to keep them alive. They are here because they need to be where words are. Words that Last, Words that Change and Words that Fade.

An original commission from The Wilson Gallery in Cheltenham for The Last Word in Art? exhibition 2016. A place for visitors to the exhibitions to have their say and add their words to feed the machines.

At the close of the exhibition, the paper from each machine will be produced into a book, creating a lasting document, left at The Wilson.

The Machines are a live, feedback documenting installation. They can be adapted for different situations, encouraging audiences to express their reactions to events in an engaging and original way - one that hopefully elicits some surprising responses!
